PREMISE

One second you're staring down the light at the end of a tunnel, and the next you're surrounded by nothing but that very light.
Yes, it seems that you died—and far too soon, at that. Your life was just getting started. Why, you still had so much ahead of you... to think that it would end so soon, just like that.
…at least, that's what the "voice" calling out to you seems to think. Truth be told, you're not even sure you're really "hearing" a voice so much as simply "understanding" this unseeable entity that's communicating with you.
The "voice" continues, this time making you an offer: would you like to live again?
—in another world, that is. You can't return home. It's not a refusal to send you back, not at all, but simply because it's outside the realm of possibility (even though bringing someone back to life strangely isn't.)
If you want a second chance at life, you need to start over in a new world.
For many, the idea of going forward and leaving everything behind, to live on without their loved ones, is devastating. It's not uncommon for youths in this position to decline, in objection to living with that crippling despair.
But you—you accept. You don't even have to utter a word, as this entity already understands your desire to live again, in spite of (or because of) moving on to a new world for this second chance.
It's at the last minute that the "voice" informs you that this opportunity entails enrollment at a "second life" high school. It explains that being a student will help get you on track while giving you the time you need to settle into this new world. It even assures you that you'll be fine. And how does it know that?
Because you won't be on your own. ✦
School Days (not to be confused with that one anime) is about giving unfortunate dead teenagers another chance at life in a school setting that encourages fulfilling character arcs. Characters will be partaking in school activities (such as clubs and the culture festival,) completing "milestones" assigned by a well-intended phone app, and enduring the occasional vivid nightmare of harming their fellow classmates.Yes, it seems that you died—and far too soon, at that. ...in other words, enjoying student life!
At least once a month there will be some kind of trauma game—be it physical and/or mental trauma. Character development isn't strictly an uphill journey after all, and this is the kind of game that can oscillate between [teehee study session sleepover~] and [experiencing a fate worse than death.]
All-in-all, this is a private commentspam game for teenaged characters that's framed around character exploration and CR. There will be no plot to unravel and no big bad to overthrow, as the focus is on the students and their high school experience. Characters will not be played for any longer than 1 OOC year tops, as they'll graduate once the year is up.
