Applications are open for February placements.

Any apps received between now and February 2nd will be placed on February 2nd as a transfer student (further described below.) If you want your character to start new (also further described below) you'll need to wait until May.

Received Apps.

✦ At this time, only plurk friends of Marie (entrepreromance) can app.

✦ Apps are open all month long, and placements are on the first Friday of the month, at the start of the new IC season/quarter. The formal introductions post goes up on the same weekend.

✦ 'New students' (ie they just got here and are new to this world) are placed only during the Spring season/quarter. 'Transfer students' (ie they're coming from another second life school elsewhere in the world) can be placed in any season, including Spring (with the assumption they were in the midst of a curriculum at a different school) which means they can be a 1st, 2nd, OR 3rd year student at your choosing.

✦ If you want to have your character skip the the "oh no I isedie'd!" part of their arc and go straight into "time to be normal about school sports," you'll want to have them be a transfer student. If you want them to have the isedie'd arc, you'll want them to be a new student. If you don't care either way, you leave your fate up to Marie. Prepare yourself.

Guidelines

✦ Only canon and original characters can be apped. No PG, AU, doubles, or fandom OCs are permitted.

✦ The character must be a high school-aged teen. Email the mods (schoolgamemods at gmail) before apping if there's any ambiguity.

Characters with some kind of ambiguity are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Example 1: Zwei from Pandora Hearts is physically 16 years old, but has been around for longer than that. Still, she otherwise behaves like a problematic teenager thanks in part to her corruptive amnesia so she's appable.

Example 2: Leona from Twisted Wonderland is a high school student who got a late start AND has been held back, so he's actually 20 years old. He's """teen-coded""" enough by technicality that he can be deemed appable.

✦ You can have up to two characters. You can even app two characters at the same time (submitted in two separate emails.) You can also play two characters from the same canon—and if they're characters with CR I 100% welcome playercest (so long as you understand that threads with yourself don't count towards activity at all.)

How to App

1. Fill out the application template and paste it into the body of the email.
2. Make the email subject "APP | PLAYER NAME | CHARACTER NAME | 1ST/2ND"
3. Fire it off to schoolgamemods at gmail!

NOTE: If I need clarification, or you happen to send the app as a link to the gdoc instead of pasting it into the email, I'll get back to you ASAP to rectify anything, so please don't be alarmed by any sudden DM/email/etc! YOU'RE NOT IN TROUBLE! I just like to get things taken care of in advance, before acceptances need to be processed and sent out.
